Keep droning on

by Spencer Ashworth December 09, 2016

We have been watching the drone market for awhile now.

Like any new tech it starts off sky high and the novelty phase starts in before they make anything of higher quality. Lots of models had a fish eye lens etc. So it was hard to find the function that we would need but the price is finally coming down. Many businesses have gone under by rushing to get in first but getting there first does not mean you are doing the best job. Keep in mind that laws are slowly coming into place and pilots or ground school training is the minimum.

I think of the drone as a new way to add value to my clients rather than as a central pillar, it can save money on aerial photography but sometimes a helicopter is still the better option!

We feel the time is about right to invest and start finding where this new hardware can add value and innovate new techniques but it needs to be a playful kind of process without  pressure  to over deliver.

I expect drone usage for me will increase exponentially over the next 12 months.

What about you? if you have used a drone or are thinking about it I would love to hear your perspective!
