We recently opened up discussions with tourism to Cuba about jobs and possible work they are interested in us doing. The process has been a slow back and forth with meetings being moved around and phone calls inching us forward but we are making progress. Then Castro died.
In case you didn't know dealing with Cuba directly means dealing with Cuban people directly and many of them from any office are traveling back and forth personally and so they all needed to be home for the funeral, mourning period, etc.
In theory this should only be a minor setback. Fidel Castro was retired and leadership responsibilities have been passing to other people for awhile. In theory. The goal is still to have at least one working trip to Cuba in 2017 but the timing is the worst it could be, keep your fingers crossed.
Where would you recommend going in Cuba? let us know!
